This was our 2025 Benelux Chamber Spring Drinks!

Last Friday, the Benelux Chamber of Commerce proudly hosted its annual Spring Drinks event at the beautiful residence of the Belgian Consulate in Shanghai. With over 120 members and 70 organizations joining, including more than 20 new member companies from 2025’s Q1 alone, it was truly a perfect night, filled with great energy, laughter, and meaningful exchanges.

The evening opened with warm welcomes from Thomas Knoop, General Manager of the Benelux Chamber of Commerce, and Pascal Buffin, Consul General of the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Belgium in Shanghai. Both welcomed the growing business and cultural exchanges between the Benelux region and China from the past few months, highlighting successful initiatives such as Intern2China, which has brought 20 talented interns from the Benelux region and Europe to work with our members here in China for a period of 6 months. As more and more delegations also visit China, we expect this year to be a year of more communication between these regions.

One of the highlights was certainly the lively introduction of our newest members during the elevator pitches, including Fullsend, Loop Earplugs, Doinel Education, Shuofeng Fun Trips, Yanzhe Construction, Changxing Ruizhuan Tea Plantation, EQOLOGIC and Tobias Le Compte. With our Deputy General Manager - Commercial Director Jonathan Xu being the MC for these corporate pitches, their engaging speeches provided a brief insight into the diverse and dynamic companies recently joining our community.

This year’s edition was also elevated by incredible live performances from Boogie Boy, aka Paul Ambach, whose jazz and blues-infused sessions delighted everyone. With a legendary career spanning over 50 years, Boogie Boy brought soulful melodies and an electrical ambiance in the consulate.
